Another lesson (from the my.SXSW application) is that if you’re going to make an application for thousands of designers and developers, it probably shouldn’t suck.

Paul Kafasis on on the my.SXSW iPhone app. The only thing he leaves out is that even a terrible application is amazingly useful—it keeps you from having to carry around a massive dead-tree book of all the sessions.

My biggest complaints were of the poor performance, showing events that had ended, the extra tap required to see the event summaries and the lack of maps of the venue. Every iPhone has Google maps on it—why duplicate that when it can’t tell you how to find the room your session is on.

A ReadWriteWeb aritcle on Facebook’s changes was swarmed with commenters confused that the top Google search result for “Facebook Login” pointed to this article. Many believed the site was actually a redesigned Facebook home page.
